Nick Gresham-Thompson

Director

In 2002, Nick was one of the founders of Gresham Financial. He is one of a handful of advisers in the UK who holds the Chartered Financial Planner, Chartered FCSI, and Certified Financial Planner designations. He specialises in wealth management, particularly complex investment, and pension issues.

Prior to starting the company Nick worked for the financial services arm of an international firm of Insurance Brokers; he was a director of the investment management and pension division of a top ten accountancy practice; and latterly worked for an international Private Bank.

Nick became a member of the Institute of Financial Planning (since merged with the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments) in 1995 and passed the Fellowship exam (one of less than one hundred people to do so) in 1997. Nick is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. 

Sue Sullivan

Director

Sue deals with the accountancy and finance issues for Gresham Financial. Sue is also a Partner of Rothmans LLP, Chartered Accountants, based at their Salisbury office.

Mark Davis

Chartered Financial Planner

Mark helps private individuals, family groups and businesses to achieve their financial and lifestyle goals and objectives by using his expertise, gained through experience and advanced qualifications in pensions, investments, and tax planning.

Mark was proud to be awarded Chartered Financial Planner status by the Chartered Insurance Institute in 2016, passing the final compulsory exam with Distinction honours.

Mark joined Gresham Financial as a financial planner in early 2016 with more than 20 years’ experience within financial services, having previously worked successfully in roles with well-known leading pension and investment companies before moving into financial planning over 15 years ago.

Sarah Shickle

PA to the Directors

Sarah assists the Directors with the management of the business and has worked extensively on our systems and processes. Sarah, who is often the first point of contact with the company, also oversees the administration and implementation of clients’ portfolios.

Alex Mullins

IFA Administrator

Alex Mullins joined our team as an Administrator in 2017. She has been working within the highly regulated financial services environment for more than 10 years, specialising in pension administration.

Alex and Sarah work closely together, acting as the first points of contact for clients and attending to the implementation of recommendations and the ongoing administration of clients’ portfolios.

Outside work, Alex is a keen photographer and a Person of Specialist Knowledge holding a Category 4 Fireworks Certificate which she uses each year to assist in professional firework displays on bonfire night and occasionally for weddings.

Ian Hurst

IFA Administrator

Ian has over twenty years’ experience in financial planning for private and corporate clients. He undertakes much of the technical work and report writing within Gresham Financial.

Ian holds a BA (Hons) Major in Politics and The London Institute of Banking and Finance Diploma for Financial Advisers including specialist papers in:

• Managing Investments,
• Taxation, Trusts & Compliance;
• Long Term Care and Later Life Planning.
